Biography

Ms. Baza is originally from Guam, and in 2012 she graduated from the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida with a B.A. in International Studies and English Literature. After graduation, she worked primarily in communications, including as a TV news reporter and anchor for KUAM News and as the spokeswoman for the Guam Department of Education.

In 2018, Ms. Baza attended law school at the Mitchell Hamline School of Law in St. Paul, Minnesota, where she graduated summa cum laude in 2021. During law school, she gained experience working on employment and procurement matters for the Guam Department of Education and on business matters at Blair Sterling Johnson & Martinez. Following law school, she worked as a Senior Law Clerk at the Judiciary of Guam under the Honorable Arthur R. Barcinas, where she worked on civil and criminal matters from jurisdictions including Guam, the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, and the Federated States of Micronesia.

Ms. Baza joined the firm full-time in 2022. Her practice involves a variety of corporate and commercial matters. She enjoys practicing law and using her legal skills to contribute to the community.

Community Involvement

Ms. Baza has been a board member for the nonprofit Sanctuary, Inc. since 2021. She is also a member of the Guam Women’s Chamber of Commerce.

In 2020, Ms. Baza was named one of the “50 Under 40: Emerging Leaders in the Government of Guam" by the AGA Guam Chapter for her contributions to the community in her role as spokesperson for the Guam Department of Education.

In addition to keeping busy at work, she enjoys running, yoga. reading and traveling.
